Komono (菰野町 Komono-chō) is a town located in Mie District, Mie, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 38,584 and a density of 360.97 persons per km². The total area is 106.89 km².
Education
Komono Town Government directly administers two Junior High Schools, Komono JHS and Happu JHS, and five Primary Schools (Elementary School); Asakami, Chikusa, Komono, Takenaga and Ugawara Schools.
In the town there is also the Mie Prefecture administered Komono Senior High School.
