Konak (formerly Qodchanis, also spelt Qudshanes, Kotchanes, and Kocanis) is a village in the north of Hakkâri Province, about 20 km NE of the provincial capital Hakkari, in the southeastern corner of modern Turkey near the Greater Zab River. It was the seat of the patriarchs of the Assyrian Church of the East from the 17th century until 1915[citation needed].
