Konorin

Pseudo-saint of Brittany who experiences a magical double birth. Brigands murder the first Konorin, an ordinary mortal, by dismembering and burning; all that remains of him is a mysterious apple. A young virgin eats of this apple and becomes impregnated by it. Nine months later she gives birth to ‘Saint’ Konorin, who was known in tradition as the‘son of the apple, the fruit of wisdom’.
