Kooperativa Förbundet (KF) is a smorgasbord of Swedish retailers. The organization, also known as the Swedish Cooperative Union, is owned by about 60 cooperative societies with 2.9 million members. KF's members run Sweden's largest hypermarket chain, Coop Forum, formed by the merger of the Obs!, B&W, Coop Forum, and Robin Hood banners, as well as clothing stores (KappAhl). KF Media is involved in book selling (Akademibokhandeln bookstores and on the Internet via Bol.com) and book publishing (P.A. Norstedt & Söner). In 2002 KF bought back the 50% of its Internet bookstore business it had sold to German media giant Bertelsmann in 2000. KF owns 42% of Coop Norden.
