Robert Cooper, better known by his stage name Koopsta Knicca, is an American rapper. He is best known as one of original members of the Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia and for his melodic 'fast-rapping' style similar to Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.

He released a solo album produced by DJ Paul, Da Devil's Playground in 1999. Cooper left Three 6 Mafia soon afterwards due to financial issues. He has continued his solo work with albums Da K Project, Da Inevitable, and The Mind of Robert Cooper. He is currently working on a new album, Da Devil's Playground 2.[1] He has accused Three 6 Mafia of preventing his music from being played on Memphis radio stations.[2]

Legal Troubles

In 2006, Cooper was arrested for aggravated robbery of friend and Memphis rapper Justin "Lil' J" Thurman, whom Cooper held at gunpoint and demanded $7000. This occurred the same night his former group Three 6 Mafia won the Best Original Song Academy Award for It's Hard out Here for a Pimp, from the movie Hustle & Flow. [3]
