What is the telephone country code for Kyrgyzstan?

User Avatar

Asked by LincMad

Kyrgyzstan is country code +996.

You must drop the trunk prefix '0' from the beginning of the Kyrgyz domestic number when calling from other countries. For example, Bishkek's area code 0312 becomes +996 312.

Landline numbers begin with +996 3 or +996 6. Mobile and satellite numbers begin with +996 5 or +996 7.

(The plus sign means "insert your international access prefix here." From a GSM mobile phone, you can enter the number in full international format, starting with the plus sign. The most common prefix is 00, but North America (USA, Canada, etc.) uses 011, and many other countries use different prefixes.)

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Main industries small machinery, textiles, food processing, cement, shoes, sawn logs, refrigerators, furniture, electric motors, gold, rare earth metals

Agriculture - products: tobacco, cotton, potatoes, vegetables, grapes, fruits and berries; sheep, goats, cattle, wool

Labour force by occupation agriculture (55%), industry (15%), services (30%) (2000 est.

GDP by sector agriculture (38.5%), industry (22.8%), services (38.7%) (2004 est.

With the help of the above indicators I presume agricultural products, the industrial products mentioned at main industries and especially rare earth metals are the main export products of Kyrgyzstan. The high percentage of the labour force that is working in agriculture indicates that the level of automation is low. Next to this the service sector and industry sector are the main contributors to the GDP.

What type of government does Kyrgyzstan have?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The answer to this question is actually somewhat complicated.

The country's Constitution created the framework of a presidential republic, whereby the President is the head of state and head of the government. There are also two chambers of Parliament which share legislative power with the president.

In reality the same people are in power as in the Communist era. There is an environment of cronyism and corruption. Opposition parties hold little power and elections are held for the same people year after year.
