Plot

L'Affaire Blaireau (The Blaireau Case) was completely reliant on the talents of its star for its success. The popular French comedian Bach plays a drunken layabout who devotes his time to knocking the wind out of the pompous and pretentious. Set loose in a courtroom during a highly publicized trial, Bach manages to see to it that justice is served, despite the concerted efforts of corrupt jurists and dimwitted gendarmes. The star so dominates the proceedings that even toothsome leading lady Renee Veller is overshadowed. For the benefit of non-comedy fans, a few songs were thrown into the potage. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
