Lü Jianjun (simplified Chinese: 吕建军; pinyin: Lǚ Jiànjūn) is a Chinese football player who currently plays for Changchun Yatai. He is considered to be the next Sun Jihai. He was selected to the national team in March 2007 due to his decent performance in the 2007 Lunar New Year Cup.
Club career
Lü Jianjun would officially start his professional football career with Dalian Changbo, playing in the second tier of Chinese soccer. Making an immediate impact within the team in his debut season he played 23 games and scored 2 goals[1]. He transferred to Harbin Yiteng who were another second tier club in the 2006 league season where he spent two seasons and would also be selected for the Chinese U-23 football team during this period. After his impressive performances for the Chinese youth team Lü Jianjun would attract the interest of Changchun Yatai who would pay a transfer of CNY 1,000,000 and the chance to play in the Chinese Super League at the beginning of the 2008 league season.
