Dictionary of Dance:

L'Orchésographie

The title of a book by Thoinot Arbeau, written in 1588. Dealing with the history of dance and describing various dances of the time, it is the most important surviving work on 16th-century dance. It was translated into English by Cyril Beaumont (London, 1925).
