Latin hip-hop act La Frecuencia Rebelde was formed in Santiago, Chile, by two young students who were mostly influenced by American rap. Fracisco Libuy (aka Crazy Power) and Rafael Pérez (DJ Raff) made their live debut on October 12, 1992, soon recording a demo that featured the song "Peor Que Animales." In addition, DJ Raff temporarily joined local group La Pozze Latina. After Alejandro Cornejo (NS1) and Marcos Retamal (aka Socram) joined, La Frecuencia Rebelde signed with Sony Music, recording a self-titled record that was released on August 25, 1999. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
