La Revue blanche

French Literature Companion: La Revue blanche

Revue blanche, La. One of the most important of the many periodicals associated with Symbolism and modern literary movements in late 19th-c. France. Founded in 1889, it merged with La Revue in 1903. It published writing by Mallarmé, Henri de Régnier, and others; Debussy was its music critic, and the young Léon Blum wrote theatrical and literary reviews.
