La Roux is the self-titled debut album by the English electropop band La Roux, released in the United Kingdom on 29 June 2009 by Polydor Records, in Canada on 28 July 2009 by Universal Music Group, and in the United States on 29 September 2009 by Cherrytree Records.[11][12][13] It has been nominated for the 2009 Mercury Prize.

Singles
- "Quicksand" was released as La Roux's debut single on 15 December 2008. The song has charted in the top 200 on the UK Singles Chart at number 153 and was acompanied by a music video directed by Kinga Burza. It has been re-released as of November 2009.
- "In for the Kill" was released as La Roux's second single on 16 March 2009. The song has charted in the top three on the UK Singles Chart at two and was acompanied by a music video directed by Kinga Burza. The song was by far the duo's biggest hit (although it peaked at #2, one place lower than the follow-up Bulletproof). It spent 4 weeks at #2, and went on to become the 5th biggest seller of 2009 and the 35th biggest seller of the decade (2000-9). This was despite the song débuting at just #11, taking 3 weeks to reach the top 10 and 5 weeks to reach its peak of #2. The song was made more popular by a dubstep remix from Skream, called Skream's Let's Get Ravey mix.
- "Bulletproof" was released as La Roux's third single on 22 June 2009. This song became La Roux's first number one on the UK Singles Chart, and was acompanied by a music video directed by The Holograms@UFO. "Bulletproof" sold 80,144 copies in its first week in the UK, although it failed to outsell In for the Kill overall. The song charted at number five in Ireland, outpeaking "In for the Kill" in both countries. It was released as the free single of the week on the U.S. iTunes Store from 22–29 September 2009.
- "
I'm Not Your Toy " is La Roux's fourth single from their self-titled debut album, released on 28 September. Jackson explained to The Guardian on 22 July 2009 why this will come out during the summer season: "I think sunny weather drives you towards certain tempos and melodies that work well booming out of open windows." She added that the duo demanded that this be released in summer, "for that reason. It has a brightness that wouldn't work in winter."[14] It peaked at #27 on the UK Singles Chart. - "Quicksand" was re-released on 23 November 2009. The song did not chart again.
- "Tigerlily" has had a video commissioned and is to be the sixth single from the album, despite Elly Jackson confirming both 'Fascination' and 'As if by magic' as the next single in interviews.

The set sold 62,650 copies in its first week, which became the highest first-week sales for a debut album in 2009[15] until Florence and the Machine released her debut disc Lungs, which sold 63,020 copies.[16]
