Laestrygonians, cannibal giants in Homer's Odyssey (book 10).
The Laestrygonians are a tribe of giant cannibals from ancient Greek mythological times. Odysseus, the main character of Homer's Odyssey, visited them during his journey back home to Ithaca. The giants ate one of Odysseus' men and destroyed eleven of his twelve ships. Everyone that was on Odysseus' ship survived.
