Biography

A Dutch language hip-hop duo that formed in 1997, Lange Frans (Frans Frederiks) and Baas B. (Bart Zeilstra) first came together in the larger D-Men group, which featured additional members Brutus (Thijs Frederiks) and DJ Crowdkiller. The D-Men released their first single in 1999, and over the course of the next few years, built up a following through appearances on compilations, remixes and winning the People's Choice Award at the 2001 Grand Prix of the Netherlands talent show. In 2004, Frans and Baas made the decision to work separately from D-Men, and released their first single, "Supervisie," that year. By the end of 2004, the duo had released an album, Supervisie, and scored a number one single with "Zinloos." In 2005, they released a follow up, entitled Het Land Van. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
