Review

This EP is really a minor work in Soda Stereo's career. Recorded in September of 1989 it contained only one new song "Mundo de Quimeras" while the rest of the material was integrated by three songs extracted from the previous LP, Doble Vida, but in alternate versions. "Mundo de Quimeras" is the nearest to the Latin rhythms that the band has played in some time. This song helped to sell the EP, along with Lenny Pickett's arrangements. The rest is a reworked version of "Languis," and remixes of two strong songs, the obscure "En el Borde" and the hit "Lo Que Sangra (La Cúpula)." Just for fans and collectors. ~ Iván Adaime, All Music Guide

Languis is the first EP released by Argentine rock band Soda Stereo. It was their sixth record overall and was released in 1989. It featured one new song, "Mundo de Quimeras", recorded in a "Latin rock" style, reminiscent of Carlos Santana (it was the first and last time they tried such an approach to a song.) The album also contained remixes of three songs available on their preceding album.
