The Southwest & Along the Haitian Border: Las Matas de Farfán

<< Nightlife || Places to Stay >>

When traveling along the Haitian border, this town makes a nice stopover since it has better accommodations and more services than the border town of Elias Piña to its west. Along with gas stations, ATMs and a calling station, Las Matas has what is often said to be the nicest parque central in the country, a large square of lush greenery with shade trees and a gazebo.
