LBC publishes several business indexes related to Latin America.
Latin Business Index
The Latin Business Index measures the overall business climate in 19 Latin American countries. The index looks at five key indicators: macro environment, globalization & competitiveness, business environment, technical level and Political environment. These, in turn, include a total of 26 subcategories, ranging from GDP growth and inflation to political freedom and corruption. Chile tops the list, followed by Mexico and Costa Rica, while the least business-friendly climate is found in Haiti, followed by Bolivia, according to the 2006 index.
Latin American Globalization Index
The Latin American Globalization Index is a relative measure of the extent of globalization of 19 Latin American countries, based on six key indicators. It was first published in October 2005, based on 2004 data.
The measures of globalization used to compile the index are:
- exports of goods and services as a percent of GDP
- imports of goods and services as a percent of GDP
- foreign direct investment as a percent of GDP
- tourism receipts as a percent of GDP
- remittances as a percent of GDP
Internet penetration
According to the 2006 index, Panama is the most globalized country in the region, followed by the Costa Rica, while Brazil is the least globalized, followed by Argentina.

Other indexes pulished include the Latin Technology Index and the Latin Security Index.
