Review

Some compilations are just plain fun, and this is one of them. There are no pretensions at depth, just a good time spread over 14 bouncy tracks. It's Latin pop with a strong dance beat, and even when it's cheesy -- which is a lot of the time -- it can still raise a smile. And some tracks truly do stand out, such as "Escapar" by Miami Boys, with its great chorus and guitar, or the hip-hop-inflected "Mucho Mas." But there's a bit of everything on here, from Cumbia-house rhythms to rapid-fire flamenco guitar and Cuban jazz piano. Even when it's all mashed together, it doesn't matter; it's nonstop movement from beginning to end, as on the barreling "Si Te Veo" from Seven Swing. If you're looking for information on the tracks and artists, you won't really find any, but don't worry about it. There's enough of a good time here to make you forget details and just revel in the sound. ~ Chris Nickson, All Music Guide
