Latreillia is a genus of crabs in the family Latreilliidae.
Etymology
The name Latreillia honors Pierre André Latreille. In 1830, after Jean-Baptiste Lamarck's death and the division of his responsibilities in the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, Latreille was appointed professor of zoology of crustaceans, arachnids and insects. A genus of flies also was also given the same name and, as a junior homonym, was renamed Belvosia.
