The Laura River is a river in Cook Shire in the Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland, Australia. It starts north of Mount Murray and flows north-west on the eastern side of the Great Dividing Range, shadowed by the Peninsular Development Road from nearby Lakeland. It is joined from the right by Ninda Creek, from the left by Kennedy Creek and at Laura township by the Mosman River, from the left. Here it turns north to become the western border of the Lakefield National Park, while the Peninsular Development Road continues north-west through Coen to reach the top of the peninsula at Bamaga.

The Laura is then joined from the left by the Little Laura River (left tributary, Pine Tree Creek) and from the right by the Deighton River. Continuing north it enters the Lakefield National Park and at S 15° 13' 0" E 144° 28' 0" empties into the Normanby River.
