Biography

Laurence Nugent's mastery of the flute and tin whistle is well-known, thanks both to his wins at All-Ireland competitions in 1994 and 1995, and his solo recording career, which began in 1996 with a self-titled album for Shanachie. His second, 1998's Two for Two, featured accompaniment from Liz Carroll and Marty Fahey, among others. Windy Gap was released two years later. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
