Plot

This episode marks one of the first instances (but hardly the last!) in which a popular sitcom spoofed the Yuletide classic It's a Wonderful Life. Laid up with a broken leg and unable to attend a party, Laverne sits at home, alone and miserable. In the midst of her self-pity orgy, Laverne begins watching a telecast of It's a Wonderful Life and inevitably begins wishing, like George Bailey, that she'd never been born.
