  • Director: Lawson Harris
  • Release Year: 1926

Plot

Arriving in the wilderness for what she assumes will be her wedding to a Canadian Mountie, a young girl is instead threatened by a despicable villain in this low-budget action-melodrama from producer/star Benjamin F. Wilson. After attacking defenseless Jean Dupres (Dolores Dorian), the villain, Timber Wolf (Robert Walker), is killed by Pierre Santoi (Lawson Harris), who is in love with the girl. Fleeing into the woods, Pierre takes up with David French (Wilson), Jean's fiancé who had missed his own nuptials due to an important assignment. David brings Pierre to town to stand trial for murdering Timber Wolf, but is able to obtain a verdict of justifiable homicide for the man he now regards as a friend. So while David and Jean are finally able to resume their wedding plans, a grateful Pierre returns to the wilderness. Released by Davis Distributing Division, this long-lost silent action-drama was penned by its villain, actor Robert Walker. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, All Movie Guide
