Lawrence Wright (born September 6, 1973 in Miami, Florida) is a former professional American football player who played safety for four seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a captain for the Florida Gators for the 1996 season in which they won the national championship. He also won the Jim Thorpe Award that year. Awarded to the best defensive back in college football.
