Lazma

Plot of land in Iraq. Tribes living in Iraq would distribute irrigated land to cultivators, called lazma, who then obtained prescriptive rights to that land by virtue of their ongoing cultivation of it. This came despite the fact that the land was not formally registered to the tribe.
