As the leading poultry producer and processor in France, the company offers fresh poultry under such brands as Loué and Poulet de Bresse. Its prepared poultry is sold under the Le Gaulois and La Toque Angevine brands. LDC also processes rabbit and produces ready-made meals, pizzas, and sandwiches. In addition to its home base in France (about 30 plants), the company has operations in Poland (four) and Spain (two); about 20% of sales come from international buyers. The founding Lambert and Chancereul families, who gave LDC its "L" and "C," respectively, formed the company in 1968.
