Plot

Figuring that it is time his sons learned financial responsibility, Ward (Hugh Beaumont) advises Beaver (Jerry Mathers) and Wally (Tony Dow) to save their spare change in a piggy bank. The boys agree, planning eventually to withdraw their money to buy baseball equipment. Ultimately, however, Beav and Wally change their minds and decide to use their savings to buy their dad a neat hunting jacket as a surprise birthday present -- and thus the stage is set for another classic comedy of errors. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
