Leduc County is located immediately south of the City of Edmonton. It is 65 miles east to west and 20 miles north to south, and has a population of over 12,000 people. The County is home to scenic prairie parkland and several lakes. In addition to its natural beauty, the County also has a strong local economy, with major developments such as the Edmonton International Airport, the Nisku Industrial Business Park and the Genesee Power Plant all located within the municipality.[3]
