Biography
Garbett lives and works in South Devon where he shares a studio with fellow creator Jock.
As well as comics, Lee also works as a graphic designer for several clothing labels and as a concept artist in game development.
He created the 4-issue mini-series Dark Mists with Annika Eade, which follows a group of Geisha blackmailed into becoming assassins. After AP Comics folded the title was picked up and reprinted by Markosia.
Lee left the series after issue #3 and moved to 2000 AD, most notably on the series London Falling, co-created with Simon Spurrier. He also worked on a Judge Dredd strip for the Judge Dredd Megazine.
He then moved to US publisher, DC Comics and their Wildstorm imprint. There he first worked on the The Highwaymen before working with Keith Giffen on Midnighter and the DC/Wildstorm Universe crossover Dreamwar.[1][2] He is also providing the art for the two-part Batman story which follows the Batman R.I.P. storyline and links into Final Crisis.[3]
Lee is currently the artist on DC comics The Outsiders and will be the new artist on the Batgirl title, relaunched in August following Battle for the Cowl.
