Leeuwarder Courant

The Leeuwarder Courant was founded in 1752 by the Dutch printer and publisher Abraham Ferwerda. His newspaper was the first paper in the Dutch province Friesland and its capital Leeuwarden. It is still being published. The Leeuwarder Courant is nowadays the oldest newspaper in the Netherlands.
