Character Bio
Lei Wulong was a policeman in Hong Kong when he met his partner and best friend, Bruce Irvin. The two were always together, at work or not, and were part of an ongoing investigation into the operations of the MFE (Mishima Financial Empire). There they found a worldwide criminal organization, corrupt beyond belief -- and incredibly powerful.Kazuya Mishima changed things, though. He brainwashed Bruce into believing that Lei was his enemy, and the two fought an incredible battle. After facing seemingly imminent defeat, Lei battled back and was the victor. Following the fight, Bruce was presumably killed in an airplane crash. It was officially an "accident," but Lei believed there to be more to it than that, thinking that Kazuya wanted to keep Bruce quiet about something. Furthermore, Lei did not believe that Bruce had really died.
After the second tournament, Lei returned to his job as a policeman. He worked there for the 19 years until he was 45, though few believed him to be so old. Lei was still as agile as he had always been, and he did not look his age. He began working on a case related to missing martial artists when Heihachi Mishima invited him to fight in the third King of the Iron Fist Tournament. Due to Lei's belief in fate, he took up the offer intent on determining a connection between the case and something that would happen in the tournament.
