Leisure Suit Larry 3: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals

Game Description

The third chapter of Larry Laffer's saga gets a number in the title and a new hero, heroine actually, to play. His search rewarded with wedded bliss at the end of chapter two, Larry loses his love at the beginning of Leisure Suit Larry 3: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals when he discovers his wife Kalalau in the hot tub with Bobbi, a lesbian Amazonian biker chick. Adding insult to mental anguish, Larry is relieved of his Natives, Inc. duties on the Nontoonyt Island resort.

Devastated, Larry dons his leisure suit once again with a single-minded purpose of scoring with every available girl on the island. After humorous results with Tawni (beach), Cherri (showgirl), Suzi (lawyer), and Bambi (aerobics instructor), Larry finally makes it big with Passionate Patti, a gorgeous entertainer at a piano bar who is very satisfied with her new lover. Unfortunately, the "morning after" brings about a huge misunderstanding and Larry departs for a celibate life in the jungle.

At this point, you control Patti in her search for Larry as she encounters the Bamboo Jungle (a 72-screen maze puzzle of which only 20 are the correct path), a stream, cliff, chasm, feral pigs, and the River of Doom (arcade sequence). Cannibals, the Police Quest set, Space Quest's prop area, Princess Rosella and even Roberta Williams aren't safe from your wandering journey before Patti and Larry end up in a cozy mountain cabin.

As in many early Sierra games, the secondary goal to finishing the game is to amass points by achieving specific tasks, in this case 4,000 (about 60% with Larry, 40% with Patti). Early versions of the game allowed accumulation of additional points through a glitch at the piano bar (type "look at piano" and then "get tips" repeatedly), but with no effect on gameplay. Chapter three is the last game in the series to utilize a parser-driven interface.

Riddled with innuendo, adult humor, insults and lewd behavior, Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals infuses the series with tongue-in-cheek shenanigans to be enjoyed by Leisure Suit Larry's fans.
