Leivonmäki

Leivonmäki is a municipality of Finland. It is known for its marshy grounds and its national park. First inhabitants are mentioned in 1564. It has been a municipality since 1870.

It is located 40 km south-east from Jyväskylä in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Central Finland region. The municipality has a population of 1,162 (2003) and covers an area of 409.97 km² of which 29.17 km² is water. The population density is 2.8 inhabitants per km².

The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
