Leonard James Russell (born November 17, 1969 in
Long Beach, California) is a former professional American football player who was selected by the New England
Patriots in the 1st round (14th overall) of the 1991 NFL Draft. A 6'2", 235-lb.
In 1991, Russell was selected as the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year after rushing for 959 yards and 4 touchdowns for the Patriots. In 2007, Russell joined Adrenaline Athletic Training in Riverside, California as an athletic trainer.
