Griots, Les (1938-40). Quarterly journal and organ of noirisme in Haiti. Formed in 1932 by Louis Diaquoi, Lorimer Denis, and François Duvalier, the group included the poets Carl Brouard and Magloire Saint Aude. Inspired by Price-Mars, they saw Haitians as genetically Africans, praised voodoo, and demanded a return to cultural authenticity.
