Plaisirs de l'Île Enchantée, Les. First and most famous of the multi-media fêtes put on at Versailles in honour of Louis XIV. Taking place in May 1664, it included contributions from Lully and Molière, and in particular, after several days of concerts, fire-works, feasts, horse-races, and the like, the only performance of the first version of Tartuffe.
