Biography

American producer Lester Cowan was behind two of W.C. Fields' most popular films You Can't Cheat an Honest Man (1939) and My Little Chickadee (1940). A native of Akron, Ohio and educated at the University of Akron and at Stanford, Cowan got his start in films working for the Motion Picture Academy in 1928.
