Plot

A humble cleaning woman working in a cold research laboratory strikes up a most unusual inter-species friendship in Paul Zindel's poignant tale of love and understanding. A normal woman who has thus far lead an extraordinarily average life, the friendless cleaning lady that tends to the cold and clinical research laboratory is shocked to discover that the dolphin housed in a claustrophobic tank has the remarkable ability to communicate through speech.
