When it comes to fleet services, Lex Vehicle Leasing is a king of the road. A unit of financial services giant Lloyds Banking Group, Lex is one of the leading providers of vehicle fleet services in the UK, serving some 20,000 businesses. The company owns a fleet of more than 250,000 vehicles. In addition to leasing and renting cars and vans and providing fleet-management services, Lex offers financing and sells used vehicles. The company was founded in 1959. HBOS (before it was acquired by Lloyds Banking Group in early 2009) took full ownership of Lex Vehicle Leasing in 2006 by buying out its joint venture partner, auto service provider RAC (a unit of insurer Aviva).
