Dror, Liat (b Kibbutz Lochamei-Hagentot, July 1960). Israeli dancer and choreographer. She studied at the Rubin Music and Dance Academy in Jerusalem and with the Dance Workship of the Kibbutz Dance company and created her first work in 1986. In 1987 she and her partner Nir Ben-Gal (b July 1959) began working as a choreographic and performance duo, creating Two Room Apartment (1987) and Equus Asinus (1988), among others. In 1992 they expanded into a company (still under their joint names) developing their highly imagistic, often brutal style of dance theatre in works like Anta Oumri (1994), The Enquiry (1996), and The Dance of Nothing (1998). They have occasionally choreographed for other companies, e.g. Batsheva and London Contemporary Dance Theatre.
