Liberty Bancorp was formed in 2006 to be the holding company for BankLiberty (formerly Liberty Savings Bank), which operates about 10 branches in the Kansas City area. It offers traditional deposit services such as checking and savings accounts, CDs, and IRAs, in addition to newfangled offerings like Internet banking, bill payment, and cash management services. Commercial real estate loans account for the largest portion of the company's loan portfolio (around 40%), followed by construction loans, mainly to custom homebuilders. However, citing depressed market conditions, the bank has decreased its volume of construction loans. It also offers business, residential real estate, and consumer loans.
