Caught in the cross-fire of a confrontation between Freedom Force and the crime boss Pinstripe, Nick Craft was gravely wounded. A blood transfusion from Minuteman was enough to save him, but it also endowed him super strength and speed. He now fights alongside the other heroes as the wise-cracking Liberty Lad. ~ T.J.
