Lickey End is a village and civil parish in the Bromsgrove District of Worcestershire, England. It is situated just north of Bromsgrove, to the south-east of the junction of the A38Birmingham Road and the M42 motorway, and has a population of 2,764. [1] The Old Birmingham Road goes north out of the village, passing through Marlbrook before ending up at the village of Lickey.

Lickey End developed during the early 1990s with the addition of a large modern housing estate.

Parish council

In 2005 the residents of Lickey End continued a campaign to abolish the local parish council. They feel their interests at local government level are adequately represented at District Council level, and that the local parish council is too costly to maintain. In response to the request of the Lickey End parish council to abolish itself, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister stated that parish councils are to be the future mainstay of local government in the UK, and should be given time to prove their worth.[2]
