Review

Where most remix collections transform an artist's original recordings into something dislocated and alien, in the case of Main -- for whom dislocation and alienation are aesthetics unto themselves -- the exact opposite is true; Ligature restores the human element to the duo's work, and although it would be misleading to suggest that the disc's eight tracks (five reworked by Main themselves and the others reimagined by Paul Kendall, Paul Schütze and Jim O'Rourke, respectively) are easy to swallow, their relative warmth and physicality lend an accessability to the proceeedings which other releases lack. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
