A scale used in many structured questionnaires. As in a Likert scale, an attitude statement is given, such as ‘During a football match I find myself getting very tense and worried as the match progresses.’; the respondent then makes a scale reflecting his or her attitude to the statement. The scale might be shown as follows: definitely false 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 definitely true.
