Coordinates: 09°54′00″N 169°08′00″E / 9.9°N 169.133333°E Likiep Atoll is an atoll of 65 islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is a legislative district of the Ratak Chain of the Marshall Islands. Its total land area is only 3.96 miles², but that encloses a lagoon of 163.71 miles². The population of Likiep Atoll is 482.
The Likiep Village Historic District is currently being considered as a UNESCO World Heritage site[1]. Likiep Atoll also possesses the Marshall Islands highest point, at 33 feet above sea level.
