Biography

Actor Lillo Brancato Jr. found his niche in acting early on, playing the young Calogero Anello in Robert De Niro's A Bronx Tale in 1993. Born in Colombia in 1976, Brancato was adopted by Italian-Amerian parents when he was only months old, and grew up in Yonkers, NY -- an upbringing that would create his sense of heritage and cultural identity. Noticed by a talent scout who thought he looked like a young DeNiro, Brancato fell into an acting career at 17, appearing in a number of films and TV shows, most notably playing Matthew Bevilaqua on The Sopranos.
