The extent of the Lima culture

The Lima culture was an indigenous civilization which existed in modern day Peru from A.D. 100 to A.D. 650. This pre-Incan culture was located in the Chillon, Rimac and Lurin River valleys. This civilization was known for its ceramic artwork. The Lima Civilizaton constructed many temples known as huacas, which still are preserved throughout the city of Lima to this day. Examples are Huaca Pucllana and Huaca Huallamarca.
