Plot

Angel long ago established the premise that Wesley Wyndham-Pryce (Alexis Denisof) has a stern and disapproving father, who never forgave his son for getting fired from the Watchers' Council. Now, as Angel (David Boreanaz) and company battle a mysterious group of cyborg assassins, Roger Wyndham-Pryce (Roy Dotrice) shows up with an offer to bring Wes back on board the newly reformed council. Busy with -- and fulfilled by -- his work at Wolfram & Hart, Wes declines the offer. Before the elder Wyndham-Pryce finishes his visit, Wes will uncover some startling information about his father. Originally broadcast November 12, 2003, on the WB network, "Lineage" marked season 5, episode 7 of the supernatural soap opera.
