Game Description
The Riviera Country Club, located in Los Angeles, California, is host to one of the more bizarrely designed holes in all of golf, namely, the sixth that features a donut-shaped green with a pot bunker in the middle. But devious holes don't stop there on this George Thomas-designed par 71 challenge that comes in 50 yards short of 7,000.Indeed, holes like the par 3 fourth which demands a tee shot of 236 yards just to carry the green and then hold prompted Ben Hogan to call it the "greatest par three in America" and the tenth that influenced golfing great
Riviera is one of the more intentionally designed "shot-maker" courses that demand bits of target golfing, accuracy and management as evidenced by its repeated use as the venue for many past golfing "majors." From U. S. Opens to PGA Championships and regular PGA Tour stops, Riviera takes its Sunshine Coast duties seriously, as it has been the setting for various motion pictures as well.
Links Championship Course: Riviera Country Club can be used with Links, Links 386 Pro and Links LS 99 as a conversion if the player has the first disk of the original floppy set or a CD version.
